Yes, Elite Proxy Switcher supports both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox (1.5 and 2.0).

What is the meaning of the proxy levels?

Elite Proxy Switcher classifies the proxies into three levels of anonymity according to My-Proxy HTTP Proxy Classification Spec:

High Anonymous Proxy (Level 1): The web server can't detect whether you are using a proxy by the information your browser sent.
Anonymous Proxy (Level 2): The web server knows that you are probably using a proxy, but it can't detect your real IP.
Transparent Proxy (Level 3): The web server knows that you are using a proxy and it can also detect your real IP address.

How can I test whether my real IP is hidden by Elite Proxy Switcher?

What is proxyjudge and how to use them?

A Proxyjuge is a CGI or PHP web page that returns some environment variables of the server. Those variables contains the information that the web server got from your browser. Proxy test tools such as Elite Proxy Switcher need them to classify the proxies into anonymity levels.

You can use a new proxyjudge from this page if the default proxyjudge in Elite Proxy Switcher setting dialog dies:

What is gateway proxy?

If you are using a gateway proxy (eg. 22.33.44.55), it won't access the websites directly, it connects to another proxy (eg. 22.33.44.1) and then use that proxy to fetch the web pages for you. The web server will think your IP is 22.33.44.1, while you expect it to be 22.33.44.55.

If you want to be identified as two IP by the server, you should not use the gateway proxies. However it makes no difference if you only want to surf anonymously. Here is an example of gateway proxies.

What is SSL/HTTPS proxy?

SSL simply provides a secure channel for your computer to talk to a web server, whose address should start with "https://" rather than the usual "http://". If a proxy support SSL, then you can use it to surf those secure websites.

What is dangerous proxy?

Those proxy servers are owned by government organizations such as FBI, CIA, NASA and Army. Your activity on those proxies is usually monitored and logged.

What is CoDeeN/Planetlab proxy?

CoDeeN/Planetlab proxies usually don't support all HTTP types, which means that you can't login forums, download files or surf https sites. Besides, you may be asked to input digits or click links to identify yourself as a human, not a robot. They have many limitations, but you can at least use them to surf most ordinary websites.

Why Elite Proxy Switcher works slow while testing proxies?

Windows XP & Vista limit the maximal TCP connection to 10 for safety. But you can only test 10 proxies simultaneously with that limit so that the testing process will be extremely long.

We update our proxy list 3 times every day to keep it fresh.

Must I buy EPS Professional Edition if I subscribed your proxy list?

No. You can get daily fresh proxy list from My-Proxy by EPS Free Edition too.

Why don't you provide all-working proxies?

Because proxies usually die fast (see why proxy die fast), we can not know whether a proxy is still working in the next minute even if it's just tested. But we can ensure the number of working and anonymous proxies that we state in the buy proxy page.

How can I get most working and anonymous proxies from you?

You can get most working and anonymous proxies when we just update the proxy list. Now we update the proxy list 3 times a day. You can see the latest update time when you download the proxy list and we will update it 8 hours later.

Why I get few working proxies from your list?

If all/most proxies die when testing them or you need more than 1 hour to test 4k proxies, you should use this patch. If you don't want to modify your system, please set the Max Threads to 5.
